My Work
Fake Taxidermy Fox - Spring Opera Scenes
The body was carved in a mixture of Polystyrene and Styrofoam. I used flock on the face and legs to get the thinner hairs, and old bristles for the whiskers. For the final details in colour I used an airbrush. I used faux fur, and eyes bought from a fake taxidermy supplier.
These items were created on short courses at Makinirium ltd

Winged Victory of Samothrace - A Little Green Swallow
In lockdown, I worked on a statue for the virtual Opera, A Little Green Swallow. I was instructed to carve a statue out of Chavant clay at the scale of around 30cm tall, that would later be put through Agisoft Metashape, to be added to the virtual set by the video team.
Resin Skulls - Ghost Train Ride
For a small project in my first year of training, I was asked to make 7 death heads. For this I made a push clay mould of a fake toy skull of the right size, then manipulated the clay to sculpt it more towards the designer's preference. I then made a silicon mould of the new skull, and cast it in fast cast resin.
Clay Sculptures
For a hobby, I decided to continue to practise my sculpting skills in different areas. Some ended up being moulded and cast in projects, others were just for fun.

Cinderella
At the Theatre Royal Stratford East, I worked as a scenic artist on their 2022 pantomime. The adapted version of the fairy tale was set in Ancient Egypt, and I was grateful to get the opportunity to get to work with lots of colours.
I also assisted in the construction of the Sphinx Throne which I later painted too.

Train Carriage
As Scenic Art Co-ordinator on the show Anna Karenina, I was in charge of the paint effects on the set. I did a lot of colour mixing on this show, and also got the opportunity to try the Trompe L'oeil effect on the moulding, and marble on the flooring.

Pyramus and Thisbe Sign
I had a lot of opportunities to distress and stain wood in this project, along with using different pigments in the letters. I also tried my hand at the sewing machine for the first time during this project.

Suede Tunic
Made from suede leather. I got to test out my abilities on the sewing machine, along with the chance to try the airbrush again.
Leather Pauldrons
For this project, I leather carved the detail using specific leather stamps. I also got the chance to use pop rivets.
Scenic Art Techniques
Some scenic techniques I have worked on include Marbling, Woodgraining, Signage and Concrete.
